Twitter Hack, Sidelined…

Users of the Wakerupper Twitter interface have likely noticed that attempts to schedule telephone reminders via Twitter have been failing lately.

Over the weekend of May 23rd, Twitter disabled their XMPP interface. Since Wakerupper uses Twitter’s XMPP interface to send and receive Twitter messages, this effectively disables Wakerupper’s Twitter functionality as well. (Boo!)

Nearly a week later, Twitter still has not turned XMPP back on. And so we wait…

On the bright side, the Google Calendar Hack is still going strong, and integration with more 3rd-party services is on the way.

What would you like to see Wakerupper mashed-up with?

How about an outlook add-in which lets you add a “wakerupper” to a meeting notice.

This is what I was thinking! If you are interested in doing so let me know, I could probably help with this add in on my spare time.

I’d love to see this work with Jott so I can send myself a voice reminder instead of a text message.

Would also like to see it integrate with RememberTheMilk and 30Boxes.
